Abi Blake
Welcome to my journey and the shared path we may walk together.
I'm Abi Blake, your trauma-informed coach dedicated to helping you navigate and heal from the impacts of trauma.
My approach combines professional expertise with personal empathy, born from my own experiences and a deep commitment to helping others find their way back to themselves.
My Story:
From Surviving to Thriving
My journey into trauma-informed therapy began with my own experiences of overcoming a near-fatal incident and toxic relationships that marked my early years.
These challenges were not just obstacles but also teachers, leading me to pursue a career where I could offer the same support and understanding that was crucial to my healing. I trained under the renowned Caroline Strawson and acquired certifications that equipped me with the tools to heal myself and facilitate the healing of others.
My Professional Path
Armed with extensive credentials in safeguarding, diversity awareness, and child, vulnerable adult, and general adult protection, I've dedicated my life to advocating for those who have faced similar struggles.
My role as an Ambassador for My Cheshire Without Abuse and a Spokesperson for Women’s Aid allows me to advocate on behalf of those who are still finding their voices. I publicly speak at many events, and you can book me to speak at yours too.
My Approach to Healing
As a specialist in somatic trauma-informed coaching, I embrace a holistic method that appreciates and harnesses the intricate connection between the mind and body in the healing process.
This approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy by engaging the body's innate wisdom to process and alleviate the pain that words alone might not fully capture. Each session is meticulously tailored to your individual needs, ensuring that our collaboration respects your healing pace and the unique challenges you encounter.
Why Work with Me?
Choosing the right therapist is a deeply personal decision. What sets me apart is my extensive training, unique methodologies, and unwavering commitment to your well-being.
You are more than just a case or a set of symptoms here; you are a person with a story that deserves to be heard and honoured. Together, we will focus not just on surviving your past experiences but on thriving in your future.
Abi’s Experience in the Music Industry
Before fully dedicating myself to trauma-informed therapy, I spent 18 years in the high-pressure world of the music industry as a music agent and manager. Working closely with international DJs and prominent rock and pop artists, I gained firsthand insight into the intense stress and anxiety that often accompanies such careers—especially when compounded by untreated trauma.
This experience has deeply informed my approach to therapy. I understand the unique pressures faced by professionals in high-stress environments and the profound impact that unaddressed emotional and psychological issues can have on one’s success and personal life.
By integrating this understanding with my expertise in trauma-informed practices, I offer support that is not only empathetic but also acutely attuned to the realities of managing high-pressure and public-facing careers. Whether you’re a creative professional struggling with anxiety and stress or someone seeking to overcome personal trauma, my background equips me to guide you towards healing and resilience with a nuanced perspective.
Experience and Certifications
My professional qualifications include:
Advanced Diploma in Trauma-Informed Positive Psychology
Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner

These certifications are not just accolades but tools that empower my practice, ensuring I provide the most informed, effective, and compassionate care possible.
